No Regrets
Greetings, my friend ~
In recent years, with my own aging process and life experiences, I’ve been known to say, “I’m aging right into my career.” That took on new meaning in April when I experienced the unexpected loss of my beloved dad. A ‘typical Tuesday morning’ diverged when my dad’s heart took its last beat while getting ready for the day.
The suddenness of his death was shocking, yet gratitude for his swift and sacred transition at home mitigated it somewhat. His longevity and legacy speak volumes about a man who lived a full life: he loved deeply, laughed heartily, and directed his energy toward his passions.
Two words he said to me years ago, conveyed a message I’ve held onto: “No regrets.” He wanted me to know he loved his life and lived it fully. He demonstrated “no regrets” through his example of love, connection, and generosity.
Although my career focuses on life transitions, which include grief and loss, losing my dad is undeniably heartbreaking. My enduring gratitude is in knowing I am, and always will be, Milt Gordon’s daughter.
With love,
~
