Purposeful Pause

Gentle Reader, hello ~

Thank you, as always, for permitting me to land here in your inbox, among what I imagine to be so many other calls for your attention. I appreciate the importance of selective attention, and do my best to be worthy of yours.

Receiving this email means you are likely familiar with me and my work in the arena of mental health and aging. My passion for wellness and meaningful connection shows up in a variety of ways.

In daily conversations with clients, I hold space for people to share their thoughts and process the emotions correlated to their life experiences.

As an extension of these conversations, I facilitate groups to provide additional context to individual life experiences. The dynamic of group discussion allows people to connect with others around shared experiences.

At the beginning of 2026, I introduced a weekly 30-minute online offering called Friday Fusion. A mini-session of mindfulness, these half-hour sessions offered an opportunity to come together in community for the common objective of a purposeful pause. I look forward to restarting these sessions in April ~ stay tuned for details!

When the calendar turns to April, I am poised to launch a new set of online offerings, called Wednesday Wisdom. Wednesday Wisdom invites you to participate in weekly groups, each with its own focus. These groups will occur during April, May, and June.

1st Wednesday: After the Diagnosis: A Group for Care Partners

  • The two primary roles in a caregiving situation are care receiver and caregiver. Spouses and adult children are most commonly called into the caregiver role, shifting the dynamics of family units. This discussion group invites both the person who’s been diagnosed (care receiver) and the person providing care (caregiver) to participate.

2nd Wednesday: Caregiver Support Group

  • Whether you are a caregiver at home, a family caregiver from afar, a spouse or adult child coping with the uncharted territory that is caregiving, this group is a safe space to share, learn, and connect with other caregivers.

3rd Wednesday: Grief Support Group

  • In this monthly support group, participants are invited to be present to their experience of grief and loss, while learning coping skills to move through the grieving process.

4th Wednesday: Ask the Expert

  • In this group, participants are invited to a session with Karen Faith Gordon and a guest specialist who works within the arena of healthy aging. Each month features a provider of care to answer your questions within their scope of practice. Come with your curiosity and questions about optimal aging. See the Spring 2026 lineup here.

As a solo practitioner, I’ve learned to be mindful of the time, energy, and resources required to run groups, in addition to my daily caseload. For this reason, these groups require ten or more registered participants. Please indicate your interest here by April 1st, so that I may plan accordingly.

Thank you in advance for supporting this effort by sharing this information with anyone else who may benefit from these groups ~ simply click and share: KarenFaith.llc/Groups-and-Workshops.
